Time to post some much needed updates on what's been going on:

Foremost, the planned release and distribution of "pro" cassette runs of the demos has been stalled due to priorities having to be shifted. However, work is being done to have them out soon enough. Once they are, we will have them available for order via Paypal or Big Cartel. In the meantime you can still download them from our Bandcamp page which we are also hoping to have the insert art uploaded for acquisition soon.

We just finished our recording session with Geoff Montgomery at Ensomberoom Studios in Ft. Wayne. Mixing and mastering of the tracks will be underway soon. The material from this session will be dedicated to a forth coming split with 260 blackened grind assassins Nak'ay
and an e.p. slated for release in autumn.

Also, infinite hails to the webzine CVLT Nation for its reviews of both demos which can be viewed here: Riding a Wind of Knives review; and here: The Great Dereliction review. And also for featuring us on a crucial mixtape that showcases a formidable index of current signed and unsigned bands such as Acephalix, Masakari, NAILS, Parasytic, and Hazzard's Cure.

Finally, we have a show this Friday at the Vollrath Tavern with Louisville hardcore vets Bushleague, drunken d-beaters Livermortis, and Photian Schism (a promising new crusty thrash band featuring ex-members of Wasteland D.C. and Year of Desolation). Starts 9 p.m. This will be our last Indy show until June 1st at the Melody Inn which will be one of the dates on our 4 day jaunt with Seattle harbingers of doom Anhedonist. News and upcoming Kata Sarka shows

We are going to be re-convening with the talented Carl Byers of Coffinworm and Clandestine Arts here in the next couple weeks to lay down the vocal tracks and doing the mixing for our upcoming as-of-yet untitled second demo. 3 tracks total, as with the previous demo, within a similar vein. 2 of the songs, "Atrophy" and "Wearing the Rings of Saturn as a Halo" have been in rotation in our live set for a while, however the third untitled track was just recently introduced at our last show on January 2nd. This track is a decidedly more black metal themed song than the rest of our output, but still retaining the hardcore influence that we intend on imbuing our work with. This song we are hoping will also be made available on a discussed split 7" E.P. and possibly some compilation contributions in the near future. Since we are still in the process of finishing this demo, our time frame previously established for upcoming projects has had to be re-adjusted; therefore our previous plans to enter Ensomberoom Studios has been moved to further in the year. We will update details related to that as they come to light.

We will also be doing a second, more professional run of the 1st demo to coincide with the release of the 2nd demo. Both will be runs of 100 each, again on cassette format. We are hoping to have this ready for the April 21st show with Fuck The Facts and Kenmode.

Our confirmed shows from February on through April are as follows:

Feb. 26th: w/The Dockers, Radiation Sickness, and Chaotic Neutral @ the Vollrath Tavern 118 E. Palmer St. Indianapolis, IN.

March 10th: w/ The Body (RI), and Still @ The Dojo 2207 N. College Ave. Indianapolis, IN.

April 21st: w/ Fuck The Facts (Motreal/Ottawa), Ken Mode (Winnepeg), Ratstorm, Freemason @ The Melody Inn 3826 N. Illinois St. Indianapolis, IN.

We are also in the process of working on a string of dates with Seattle's vanguard battalion of doom warriors Anhedonist. The details on this should be hemmed up within the month.

Kata Sarka is going on hiatus from show playing for awhile. In the meantime, we will be returning to Carl Byers and Clandestine Arts Recording to work on our second demo. Then, in February, we will be gearing up to go into the studio with Geoff Montgomery at the soon to be legendary Ensomberoom Studio in Ft. Wayne. There we will be scrying in an astral abyss for inspiration and resolution to our slated releases in the spring!
